Muhammad Ibn Sirin, a Muslim dream interpreter of the 8th century who resided in Basra, is well-regarded in the field. His remarkable expertise in deciphering dreams has been acknowledged by prominent Arab intellectuals including Al-Gaheth, Ibn Qutaybah, and Ibn Khaldoun. Considered a crucial figure in this realm, he authored notable works such as Dreams and Interpretations. Other works attributed to him include Taabirul Ro'oya (What Dreams Express), which is either a distinct publication or an abridged version of Muntakhabul Kalam Fi Tafsir El Ahlam (A Concise Guide for the Interpretation of Dreams). The latter was first published in Bulaq, Egypt in 1284 AH, followed by editions in Lucknow in AD 1874 and in Bombay in 1296 AH.
